Chayal Mezuzah: Citadel
Chayal Mezuzah: Citadel
Introducing our unique Chayal Mezuzah Collection, where timeless tradition meets masterful craftsmanship and a double purpose. Each mezuzah is meticulously handcrafted by a chayal boded (lone soldier) who is also a teacher at Bezalel (the renown Israeli art academy) when he's not on missions.
We are commanded to affix mezuzahs upon our doorposts; they act as a sign of both protection and G-d's love of Am Yisrael. The Chayal Mezuzah Collection carries the additional purpose of giving financial benefit to a soldier.
The Citadel mezuzah is carved in a style to be reminiscent of the Kotel (Western Wall) whereby the wood juxtaposes our own personal sense of the beloved Jerusalem stone. The Shin is burned into the wood by hand and thus each mezuzah's shin effect may be slightly altered.

Hand-crafted by Daniel G., a chayal boded serving in Golani. He made aliyah (moved to Israel) with the purpose of serving in the army. The stipend he received was not enough. One day he realized what needed to be done: there was an olive tree near his base in Hebron which inspired him to start carving his first mezuzah. A Chabad bought his first mezuzah which further inspired him- he realized he could earn money by doing something he enjoyed and helped others fulfill the mitzvah of mezuzah. Last year Daniel finished his studies as an industrial designer and began his small business of producing mezuzahs in Jerusalem style. However, October 7th led him to put his dream on hold in order to defend his home.
